Testimonials
I have stayed here a few times, very convenient stop for an overnight driving on 81. It’s not immediately off the highway but not too far of a drive into town. It’s basically a large lawn area and parking on the grass. Spots are all marked. It’s very nice and quiet and have always met friendly people there. There’s a pavilion and clean bathrooms and showers.
We stay at Glen Maury Park campground for only one night. We were late so we were only able to get partial hookups. The park was quite full. There is hardly any shade. It is just an open field. The park was quiet. Nice grassy area. The folks in the office are extra nice people. We didn’t have a chance to really experience much. We were just passing through.
What a wonderful treat to stay at this park. We have a class C 31 ft RV. We drove all the way to the top and it was a wonderful, wooded area. There were a few full hookups, but we took a spot with just water and electricity and it was great. There were about 12 sites up on top of the mountain but only 5 RVs including ours. We were very spread out and that was great! If it weren't for Passport America, we would have never found this park. We have told several of our friends about this park and we will be back.
Stayed at this park in May and was so impressed we came back in October 2019. We had no problem getting in with our 23’ trailer to the upper forest area sites. Larger rigs stay in the open area to the right of the office. Some of the hookups are not in the best location and may require extensions for electric. Bath house and toilets were clean but dated. Only negative were the overnight trains passing by! If you arrive after hours just find a site and see the office in the morning.
This was our second stop in the area and both times we have stayed here. The first time we stayed along the river which was great. The second time we stayed up on top which we enjoyed. We have a 36' fifth wheel trailer. We would like to thank all the people who we dealt with. On our second trip there was a bicycle rally and they recommended top side. Had a great time both times. If in the area we hope that you would stay here and enjoy as we did. Thanks Glen Maury Park.
